This vid is a year in the making if thats the K Club!! Totally agree, Irish service stations are mostly brilliant places to stop - the Irish Government bought plenty of land when they developed them so no shortage of parking and they dont surcharge fuel like they do in the UK.

4.65m is the maximum height limit in any of the tunnels here, the Dublin Port Tunnel, the Jack Lynch tunnel in Cork and the Shannon tunnel in Limerick. Higher trucks must take alternative routes.

Used to run to fishguard on a regular basis . There was a large car park by the school in Goodwick you can stop with toilets and a tesco express for a few bits . Great if you're early for the ferry .

I used to do the Fishguard > Rosslare crossing a lot (by car) but find doing Holyhead > Dublin an easier and nicer journey now. Irelands motorway network has improved a lot so it's quite easy to get across the country from Dublin these days.

With the Customs the only way to get through quickly is to give them 'Overtime', then it all works OK,

We run at 46 tons in Ireland, been into Rosslare customs a few times and never seen so many hi vizs doing so little!!

That was a quick crossing for that ferry. Last time I did it, it took us 4.45hrs. It depends on the weather too

This is why being a long distance driver is easy. Keep the card in, finish shift. Put on pause. Wait 9 or 11hrs, put hammers, 10/15mins and go. Only for weekly rests take it out, but none of this daily bs 😅

Im gona watch this, just commenting at 10secs in. The biggest mistake i think people make, is thinking the tachograph is flawless. It doesnt know alll the rules. Its like one group came up with the rules, the other the machine, and guess what? They barely communicated with each other! I mean on the stoneridge, u can see how much just otherwork you done, u have to do the calculations. You cant see how much driving time u have left, when youre actually driving. Theres a few others as well but i cant think right now.oh ye, total pause taken. I know theres one more but i cant think. It should be set driving time. Rest. Other work. Weekly, daily. In clear drop down options. The rules are so strict, but theres a system that could be improved alot.

Intentionally riding in the outback without proper fuel reserves is a death wish mate...and then whingjng about the price you were charged by your rescuers.... you whining fn pom !
